WHY IS MY THERMOMETER FOGGED UP?​

Condensation forming in your thermometer can happen from time to time throughout the cooking process and is considered normal.

The condensation should go away when not being used. If the condensation does not go away, the thermometer should be replaced.

Mine used to fog up first thing in the morning when the dew was in the air.
Once the sun came out it went away. And that wasn't just on thermos, gauges on pool pump and air compressors also.

I've had that happen to me a couple times. It bothered me enough to get a new thermometer. Weber might consider it to be normal, but I don't.

Yah, I have had it happen in several weber lid thermometers. Very annoying.
