Valentine's Day Top Loin Steaks

aka: Ambassador, Club, Hotel Style, Kansas City, New York Strip, and Strip Loin steak.

my Weber!

Three TLS's with a heavy hit of Penzey's Chicago Steak Seasoning.
Then covered, and left outside in the 40F weather for 2 hours.

Full load of K-blue.

A fire as hot as the love I have for my wonderful wife!

A little warm-up before hitting the flames.

Haven't cooked this hot in awhile, so we had a little flare-up.

Not to worry, all is well, I mean medium rare.

Spears and spuds for sides.
Jo Anne and Tyler took a half steak each, I took the other half of each.
(Woo-Hoo, one left for today's lunch!)

A very happy Valentine's Day was had by all, hope you all had one too!!

Bob, those are some fantastic looking steaks!

Thanks for sharing the alternative names for this cut of steak. We have a local restaurant that serves a club steak and I always wondered what it was. Their club steak sometimes looks like a tri-tip by the grain, but I have seen them look like yours too.
