v12 wifi issues

I have upgraded to v12 on two different HM(1 new and the other used weekly) on HM4.2.4

Once, I connect to them via cat5 and scan for wifi routers and connect to the one I am looking for, I then save and apply, all the changes, except it wont let me save and change the last change that it shows top right as 1 unsaved change.

After, I reboot the HM it wont connect via wifi and again I have to try to save everything again using Cat5 cable. The first time I had this problem on the new Heatermeter, I just built, I was able to connect via wifi after repeating the same steps over and over again. But, my older HM I am not having any luck with it saving the wifi info after reboot.

Not sure what could cause the problem other then version 12 as I never had any problems with older versions
 
There should be 0 differences between luci (the webui) and the wifi drivers between v11 and v12. I'll take a look but I am relatively sure that v11 and v12 should behave the same (not saying it works right though).
 
Whoa! That's actually a different adapter than it used to be, at least physically it looks different. The old version was more square. They only have one driver download on their website so it sure is strange that they would have a product that doesn't work with our standard driver. I wonder what the issue is.

I'll take that adapter off the list though for now, thanks.
 
luckily, my wifes laptop needed an wifi adapter, since they don't have a windows 8 driver for her computer. I will play with it some to see if I can get it to work.
