Using a flux pen with Rosin core solder?

Question, I'm about to attempt my second HM build. Since reflowing solder is such a common issue I was going to use additional flux(the flux pen) - with my 60%/40% TIN/lead .031 diameter rosin core solder. What say you experts out there? Should I or shouldn't I use additional flux?
 
Flux is the best thing ever! Put some flux in the joint and the solder will flow like buttah!

Use the pen! I used some paste on mine and can't seem to get the residue cleaned up no matter what I tried.
 
Yeah, flux is good for anything. I put a dab of flux behind each ear every morning. It drives the women crazy!
 
Flux pens are great for knocking off that poorly soldered 0603 SMD component that you don't notice until you have odd problems......
Otherwise, they're GTG
