Umbrella's to shade the smoking / grilling area

I don't have a good plan for long term cover / shade for my grilling area so I'm going to give these a try.

woot deal for $15 each so I bought a few to mount to the fence behind my grills. I think I'll mount some metal conduit to the fence and I'll have great left-to-right options.

Can’t wait to see how that turns out. Keep us updated..

Nah. Way too small/flimsy/cheap.

Just get one good sized market umbrella. So you have enough actual room underneath to grill and stay cool/dry. Plenty of ways to rig that to a fence. Or just get a sturdy base.

Bonus is that said market umbrella could be used on the patio for non-grill shade.

I’ll post a shot of what tricks I use. Let me dig through the files…
Well, the storage gods are playing with me and hiding the shots I was looking for, I’ll dig deeper and see if I can find them or set the thing up for a portrait.

Thanks. I read reviews and cancelled the order.

I don't have much space. 10 ft from the house to the fence. I don't' want the poles for a standard market umbrella, and an offset isn't really the right fit.

I prefer to not have anything within 5 feet of the house ( fire defense zone-0 )

I've thought about a sun shade, but I'd need some sort of support and I don't really have this..

I'm back to the drawing board :(

I have this umbrella that I used when I coached my son's baseball team. It's expensive for sure, but it's top quality and I never had any issues with it. The hardest thing about using it was getting the spike into the ground with 2 months of no rain in TX!

I definitely need an umbrella for my deck in the backyard. It’s on my to do list, but not in the immediate future. I’m presently doing a carport (12W, 29L & 9H) and I ended up with one from Home Depot. Granted, I had to reject the first one (wrong size) but after this is done, Umbrella is next
