turkey breast

So my neighbors just moved but before they did they invited my wife to come and "grocery shop" in their fridge and freezer. Well she came back with a big frozen turkey breast. It feels like it weighs about 6 lbs. Now it says it contains up to 15% solution which makes me a little wary. Think this is something i could thrown on the WSM? I've never done turkey before, let alone anything like this.

Sure, it'll turn out great! Just cook it like it says on the package, leave the water out of the pan, & use a little mild smoke wood.

I usually just do basic spices like s&p & whatever else sounds good, maybe oil the skin.

Aaron, I bet it will be really delicious. I learned from a recent spiral ham experience that it's totally worth putting freezer finds on the WSM... magic seems to happen.

I have done lots of turkey breasts. Never noticed the 15%solution so not sure about that. I usually smoke them for between 4 and 5 hours at 225 or so. The skin will not come out crispy like many people like but I'm not a big skin fan anyway. I gave up trying to get the skin crispy a long time ago and now I just peel it off and throw it away when I'm slicing.

Most breasts are injected.

I use a seasoned butter compound and gently place under the skin while cooking at a higher temp.

Skin comes out crispy if you cook at higher temps.
