It was the "smoke" that almost wouldn't- I mean it came a drenching downpour for about 10-15 minutes without fair warning within minutes after I had put meat on smoker- I'm thinking what a dissaster. Anyway, to make a long story short as I don't have a covered smoke area- somehow the wsm perservered and went on to produce a long 10 plus hr smoke and made some good Q. I really did nothing special- just rubbed mustard over and massaged into meat then used Mccormicks pork rub and used a spray bottle of apple juice every now and then. I then pulled the pork and shook a little Lowerys seasoning salt over- also beyond many beliefs and what I normally don't always do , this time I added a small amount of bbq sauce to the shredded pork "abrams" sauce. It was one of my best butts smokes ever but think I beat it tonight and basically did the same thing- just smoked it longer- almost 12 hrs here but the pork just fell apart. I have found that no two smokes are the same- sometimes you get an extra good smoke going!
