Hello,
Just wanted to post a heads up to anyone in Chicago looking for tri-tip.
Costco in Niles is selling "tri tip steaks" at the meat counter, but, if you ask the butcher, they will sell you the whole piece, so long as you buy at least two. Picked up a couple at $5.99/lb.
I had previously been buying them at the Fresh Farms nearby for $6.99/lb, but they haven't had any the last couple times I have asked.
