Pricing makes me happy I " splurged " on the Slate.
I thought spending $800 was a bit overboard when I purchase the Slate......the Blackstone with hinged hood and cover was $650.
I thought that Traeger was coming out with a few pellet grill and griddle lines that was more price friendly for the consumer?
Share what you know if you have been out and seen anything new.....it seems like Blackstone is still the most affordable around here anyway.

Over 4K $US for a traeger seems crazy.

This here was my first smoker but the original version with the straight legs.......it still runs well ( my old man has it )
It did a pretty good job, didn't grill worth a crap unlike what I understand some of these new pellet grills do.
So if you have a bbq already then money wise I would say this deal is hard to pass up and it's even cheaper in the States.....
I had the larger one....made jerky like it was built for it.
I think I paid more than this price way back in the day too....
Electronics is super simple but doesn't hold real steady like modern pellet poopers....it would sway up and down your set temp by 30 degrees all the time. It did work pretty good for what it cost though.
Auger never failed, electronics can be replaced by a very affordable one piece purchase just plug n go but mine still has the original in it.
It even comes with 2 meat probes that fit thru a gated hole on the lower half of the grate.
I have almost talked myself into getting another one.
