Too ambitious? and a question or 2

Ok so i have a new 22.5 only used twice. I noticed that this thing is huge and will run forever on a 20lb bag of Kingsford blue. So i am assuming that it really shouldn't take more fuel or wood to smoke a bunch of stuff compared to 1 picnic shoulder so here is my plan for tomorrow.
Four boneless pork butts, 2 half chickens a bunch of ABT's and time permitting a fatty or two. (will post qview as it goes along) So if i put the butts on the top rack and wait 3 hours or so i'm figureing at that point i could add the chix and abts to the bottom rack (gonna try through the door see how that goes). my thought is if i wait i wont have pork dripping on my chicken and ABT's quite as bad because a bark should have started forming on the pork. Then i figure when ABT's are done i could put in a fatty or 2. If my logic is flawed could someone please let me know espicially about how much wood i will need planning on mixing oak and apple about 50/50. I'm think about 3 to 4 tennis sized pieces of each wood? any help/suggestions would be appreciated
Thanx

It's not too ambitious if it works and/or you learn something.

It will take more fuel to cook a full load than a light load and it will take more lit coals to get the WSM up to temperature. Oak is fine for Pork and use Apple if you like the taste produced by that mix. I like it. Just remember that Chicken takes smoke more quickly than pork so don't over smoke the bird.

I have the 18.5 so I can't judge if the load is too much but it seems I've read posts where the 22.5 took a bigger load than you're planning on.

Why not put the Butts on the lower rack and cook the other stuff on the top rack? This thread addresses the Chicken over other food concern.

Yeah, if you are going to have that much going on and off during the total cook I would put the butts on the bottom.
