To buy, or not to buy. . .


 
I keep rubs and sauce on hand when spontaneous cooking happens. I do have several rubs and sauces that I regularly make though. I get bulk spices from a grocery store here for much cheaper than the spice area of the store.
 
I think making rubs, sauces, spritzes, mops, glazes, etc....is part of the fun behind making BBQ. I have some store brands I like and will use if in a jam for time, but try to make my own when I can. I have large containers of the basics that I've bought through Costco as well.

what spices are you using that you can't find? Not arguing, i just find that a strange complaint. Rubs are more expensive generally than making it yourself too.
