Times for 2 slabs, 1 foiled, 1 not

I was planning on doing a side by side comparison of some Costco spares tomorrow and was wondering if my times seem right.

These usually take me about 7-8 hours unfoiled, so I was planning on throwing the first one on, and then 2 hours later putting the second slab on. I was going to let this one going for about 4 hours, foil for 1 hour, and return unfoiled for a final hour.

Never foiled spares before, does the 4-1-1 plan sound like it would be a good test?

Most disagree with me but I still generally go 3-2-1 as a guideline on spares and 2-2-30 minutes on back ribs. Just my opinion though....

for a better controlled experiment I'd suggest starting them both at the same time. Foil one rack after 3-4 hours, when its tender throw it in a cooler (if its really tender vent off some heat first so it stops cooking) and then sauce and finish them with the other rack.
