Just noticed that my post was timed at 1145pm
on the 17th. It is 0145 on the 18th here in Victoria. CDT. What gives?? No problem but I am,among other things,a time freak. I ahve the clock on my PC tied into the Atomic clock
so I can set all of the other clocks in the house.

I'm pretty sure all the times on the BB are Pacific time; that's where Chris is located. So, when I post (I'm in Ohio, in the Eastern time zone), my posts are all time stamped three hours earlier than my local time.

Yep. The server is located here in California and the bulletin board software reflects Pacific Time for all posts, not your local time. You'll also notice that the times can be off by a few minutes when you post. The server has a tendency to "drift" in terms of keeping accurate time, which I understand may be a glitch in the operating system.

Apologies to the "time freaks" out there like Pat!

a more accurate time zone description would be PST-in Kevin's house.

I actually synch with a time server at NASA (ntp.nasa.gov) on a real time basis, so there shouldn't be any drift. This is something I set up after the Win2K upgrade. Any drift you see these days is on the user side

.

Either that or NASA is not doing a good job.
