Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

That is interesting Larry. I wonder if someone can confirm that. Maybe someone has a sticker with the BTU's listed from one of them.

See my Post above, the Spirit line was 33k btu VS the Genesis at 36k btu.

Memory serving me correctly their only difference was slightly smaller main metering orifices.

Burner tubes are shorter by a couple of inches

That really doesn't set BTU though. That function falls to the main metering orifice(s)

Both of the grills can bury the thermometer needle. None of the front burners can get as hot as the east/west models
