Looking at Tel Tru for 22 wsm what color dial is best white or black?

I would think that is a personal preference. I have the black face on mine & don't forget they also make a glow dial as well.

I have a black faced thermo on the 22WSM and a white faced thermo on an 18WSM. Mostly have what I do because they fit the bezels; really no preference for me. It's about accuracy.

Is one easier to read at night? Very often my cooks go into the night. Obviously the glow in the dark will. But I lile the black dial, but am concerned it won't read as easily

This is what I was thinking. The white numbers lines and indicator may show better? Anyone?

Does the gauge turn?

If so, a tip I was given is to turn the gauge so the target temp is at 12:00 position.

A quick glance to see it its too hot or too cold or if straight up, spot on
