Looks like the competition was voted on by the customers themselves.


I had no idea that Bridges BBQ was in the running - let alone the winner.

Been a while since I passed through there, but I enjoyed every visit.

I've ate at Lexington BBQ only once. Both places are about as good as it gets in the western part of the state. Lexington BBQ has been visited by many celebrities.

I see that Franklin BBQ (Texas?) made the final four.

I voted on that but obviously I've only experienced a select few of those. Out of bracket I'm going to vote for things I've heard of. You could probably count any of the top 4 as being amazing.

I've never been much past Memphis, but I would love to try some Texas brisket one day. Some BBQ restaurants around here serve beef BBQ (chopped), but I don't know what part of the steer it came from.
