Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner

I went home to Greenville, SC for thanksgiving so I didn't have any webers to work with unfortunately. I used my Dad's Orion to smoke the Turkey, It went about 2 hours with pecan chips. It was very good but, not pretty, put the turkey on the poultry stand and as it cooked it burst the skin (oh well, still tasted great) Also made cornbread dressing, gravy from the turkey neck and parts, Cranberry sauce, green salad, and green beans.

Dry brined it with seasoned salt for 3 hours.

Then seasoned with seasoned salt and black pepper.

loaded up

fired up (meat is sealed inside with wood chips)

Great looking plate of food, Hamilton! It just proves that your skill is not due to the Weber & that you can make magic on anything they give you to cook on ...

I had never seen an Orion cooker before & my wife spotted it on a TV show and DVR'd it for me to see. It sort of reminds me of a Cuban Cooker or Cajun Microwave concept, but on a smaller scale??

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
