Texas BBQ rub.


 
Greg, I tried the rub every which way there is I think. For me, the best way I have found is to put the rub in a blender or food processor, add some red wine vinegar and olive oil and make a thick paste out of it. It stays on the meat very well and makes an incredible bark.
 
I bought the brisket rub based on reviews from this site, and was most impressed. I used it on pork butts, and brisket last weekend.
 
Thanks guys, makes sense. I wish I would know how they formulated it different. I'm understanding wild game would have a bolder taste though, so maybe the rub adjusted accordingly.

Pete G, had to throw some chops together (sirloin, hey they were on sale!) and used the w sauce and original rub. Yummy! Had some grilled potatoes and corn, it was awesome!
