Welcome to TVWBBNow that the hockey game is over I can put a question forward.

During one episode of BBQP, I recall you made a specially sweetish sauce because you heard that yours wasn't sweet enough. I hope Ihave this right. What was your thinking about this? What do you think about sweetness in a rub and/or sauce?
 
I tasted some of the winning entries while competing in the mid-West on the show. They all had one thing in common - very very sweet. So I went out and purchased all the sweeteners I could find. I also added powdered honey to my rubs to make my entry sickly sweet. I think our placings picked up after trying that. In California, CBJs like spicy and medium sweet. When you go to Rome, do what the Romans do!
