supertarget ribs

The ribs turned out great. My wife's cousin and my sister loved them and am waiting for the results from my neighbor who I brought a rack over to. I also thought they were quite good, but not perfect. I was able to bite into them without them falling off the bone, which I think is the way they should be done. They had a nice smoke ring, I used cherry and maple. I mopped them with Cattlemen's sauce with a bit of honey added to it. On a scale of 1-10 I would give them an 8. Still looking for perfection, I am my worst critic.

I'm sure everyone enjoyed them. I too am my own worse critic, and after a year of doing this I still have not hit the perfect rib. Gotten close a couple of times though. Family and friends still seem to eat them up just fine. I don't know if that's because their good or because their free.

Thanks for the report Thomas! I did swing by a SuperTarget yesterday and grabbed two racks just for fun (plus a $0.99/lb choice packer). As I was walking out to the car I was thinking "Man I hope he posts how they turned out soon, so I can go get some more if they're not too bad."

At $1.79/lb, I may go get a couple more racks if even just to practice my technique getting BBs to come out "just right".

my son has a bar and grill in small town North
Dakota and he has a friend who makes ribs by boiling them and putting them on the grill. They fall off the bone and taste like mush. I cannot convince him that that is not ribs. I smoked my enhanced ribs and he agreed that there is a huge difference. I have gotten nothing but complements on my saltless, 1.79 cent ribs from SuperTarget/ saltless meaning the rub. I thank the forum for letting me know not to add salt to my rub so that they tasted like ham. I am going to pick up some more tomorrow being they turned out so great. Thanks
