Superbowl smoke weekend

I got about 25 people coming over for the super bowl, wanted to get thoughts on the menu and anything I should be aware of. I was going to try and get a fairly large pork butt ,9-10 pounds, for pulled pork sliders. I was planning on smoking it all day saturday, and then storing it over night and reheating it sunday in a crock pot. The day of, I was planning on doing two bacon explosions, one pork and one turkey. I was also planning on doing two beer can chickens for pulled chicken sliders. I have a few people coming that don't eat pork. I was also making some jamblaya, as well as the usual sides, baked beans, coleslaw, corn maque choux etc.

Thoughts? What about storing the butt overnight?

When you reheat in a crock pot, do you add liquid? If so, what do you add?

Secondly, where do you live? I might need to drop by on Sunday...hehehe

Dave.......I'll be over at noon!!!

Sounds like an outstanding lineup!

Storing overnight is no problem........I recently reheated mine after a couple of days and didn't use any liquid and the results were good. I reheated in a covered aluminum pan using low heat in an oven. It was still pretty moist and tasty. Some folks will suggest using chicken broth or a little BBQ sauce to rehydrate if necessary. I like the flavor of the pork w/o a lot of changes. I would opt to reheat slowly without liquid and add broth or sauce in moderation until you're happy with the result.

Patrick......If you reheat in a crock pot I would think that some sort of liquid is a must.
