Obviously, YMMV. This is in the Milwaukee area. I'm not in the market for a new gas grill, but I always like to wander around the grill department when I go to the hardware store.

Yah, great price for a new Summit, but still not worth it to me with the two main flaws that they have. I am looking forward to seeing if Weber FINALLY addresses each of those two critical areas on the new generation Summits.
 
I think the new Summit will have an all-aluminum firebox like we have all expressed a strong desire to see. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the cabinetry is any less rust resistant than before. I hope Weber will add a "Platinum" option again and offer all-stainless at whatever price it takes to make it as profitable as a regular Summit. That would have the potential to be one really great grill. I personally like the appearance of the new Summits, at least as much as we have seen so far.
