Just for the heck of it, I just tried it. Back to not lightingI would love to see what would happen if you simply put the old one back in now and tried it.
It's hard to tell. I can clearly see through it when holding up to the light. The hard part is there is so much junk on it I was afraid to try and poke it clear and ends up with too large a hole. After looking again, I think the new one is slightly bigger. But even an EXTREMELY small difference in such a small joke would be a very large percentage different in gas flow. I would think at leastLOL. Thanks Eric. Very interesting and I would love to know the exact reason. DId you every try to make sure nothing was clogging it or partially obstructing the orifice?
I agree. In trying to clean it up though it was starting to eat away at the brass. At that point I decided to go with newThe old one was extremely dirty, I think that had something to do with the problem.
