Summit IR burner won't stay lit


 
I would love to see what would happen if you simply put the old one back in now and tried it.
 
LOL. Thanks Eric. Very interesting and I would love to know the exact reason. DId you every try to make sure nothing was clogging it or partially obstructing the orifice?

It's hard to tell. I can clearly see through it when holding up to the light. The hard part is there is so much junk on it I was afraid to try and poke it clear and ends up with too large a hole. After looking again, I think the new one is slightly bigger. But even an EXTREMELY small difference in such a small joke would be a very large percentage different in gas flow. I would think at least

I had similar troubles on my original Genesis II. Weber rep told me to remove them and do a good clean on them. I did with some BrakeKleen and compressed air. Worked like a champ
