Not sure what your initial investment is or the current condition of the grill itself, but it certainly would be a candidate to be refurbished especially if the frame and firebox are in good shape. The Summit line uses stainless steel internal parts, but time, weather and lack of good cleaning take their toll. I know that the Summit line had a pretty big revision when Weber came out with the current line which changed the positioning of the controls from horizontal to vertical. What that means in terms of parts availability, I don't know. I have a Summit 420 and I can tell you from the cooking perspective they are great and will make even the most hardcore "charcoal only" grillers take notice.
