Hey all,
I bought some sugar maple chunks by accident. I haven't heard much on these. So what can I use them for?

Sugar Maple won't hurt you, in fact it may make you better.

You are in the NorthEast?

EDIT:::::

Um....er......NorthEast Florida?

Where did you get the stuff from?

Did my first 4 or 5 smokes with hickory then branched out to maple, oak, and cherry.

Cooked 2 butts with maple and hickory last week...about half and half. They were very good. Had a nice sweet flavor.

Thanks for your replies,
jbaker, Yes I am original from north Massachusetts, so maple products are nothing new to me. Just never heard of using the wood for barbeque.
Oh yeh, I picked it up at the "outdoor kitchen store" in Tampa, it was sitting next to the oak I ment to buy.
