Today was the first day of the 4 day meat sale at StoneRidge meat market in Wautoma, WI.

First shot is of the pork haul. 3 twin packs of baby backs, 2 whole pork loins, a couple of pork tenderloins, ham steaks, country style ribs and some natural casing wieners.

Second shot is the beef on top of the pork. 4 nice T-bones for cavemans in the near future. a couple big family packs hamburger and the big ol' hunk of meat is a whole NY strip at 15#.

Looks like I have some cutting and vacuum sealing to do tonight.

Last week I picked up some drum sticks on clearance. $1.99 for a 3.5# family pack. I bought all 8. 28# worth in the freezer now!

Last pic is of a guest who dropped by when we got back from the store. If he had been bigger he would be joining the pork and beef!

That's what the turtle is thinking.

Thanks for all the comments everyone.

First let me say I only buy meat like this once a year and then only on sale. This also leads to Jim's comment.

Did not buy any brats as they where not on sale. I have about 20# of brats in the freezer, along with over 12# of kielbasa.

I do think I need a second freezer as the big chest freezer is pretty full and I have 35# of meat to get in there yet.

Little Guy is trying to be a big Ol' Mossy Back!
when I bought my freezer I picked the biggest one from sears. Not big Enough somtimes.

That's quite a haul Tim. You must have a walk-in freezer!

By the way, your turtle either needs a bath or to pick up the pace. It appears that he's growing moss.

I actually need a walk in freezer. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to fit the 20# of pork loin in the chest freezer.
