Hmmmm, thanks for the tip. What is the suggested strategy for bidding on ebay. It has zero bids so far with only 4.5 hours until the end of the auction. Should I just put a max bid in and let it go, or should wait until the last 30 seconds and try to "snipe" it? I haven't bid on an ebay item in years.

I would wait until the last 30 seconds. to put in your bid. That way if somebody else is considering it they don't have time to think about it. Also you might be able to see other people put in their bid and consider whether you want to go higher than that or not.

Hopefully nobody else bids but I see one other person is watching it

I had plans to. But if you’re trying to snag it for your 4/5 I won’t. I only REALLY wanted it at that price for the porcelain grate, since I have a new unused OEM grate from my 2.

That is great! I may bite the bullet one of these days and make a visit to Eagle to drop off some cook boxes for blasting. I was holding out hope one of my leads on sand blasting would pan out, and apparently owing someone a bunch of favors doesn’t amount to what it used to these days!

Did they ever make a grate level box like that for the silver b? I personally like the one I use in my 330. I re-purposed one from a summit 670 for it. Needs a couple tweaks but it fits fairly well!

I am not sure, but I DO NOT think they did. The Steam N Chips didn't seem to get very good reviews.

The one for the sidewinders looks pretty functional with how it sits down on the flavor bars.
One thing I do with mine is put an actual wood chunk in it vs. chips and it smokes for quite a while. I know with the venting of those a lot of the smoke leaves. But when I did a bone in turkey breast with it last year it worked very well and left a nice smoky flavor. Nothing like a kettle, but that’s impossible to replicate.
Someday I’ll consider a smoke tube. Likely whenever I finish up my platinum.

The steam n chips (I owned one) was more a waste of grill real estate than much else.
