Made some steaks the other night. My son suprised me saying he wanted some shrimp. All I had was the frozen cocktail shrimp so on they went with oil, lemon, and dill.

Nice surf and turf! Perfectly cooked steak. I'm thinking about investing in cast iron grates to get the "pro" grill marks.

Great looking cook. Steak looks perfectly cooked.

Not sure what you seasoned the steaks with, but they look a little extra moist in this pic. If you used oil on those steaks, you might want to use a little less next time. Also consider just dry spices and be sure to pat the steaks dry before seasoning. Get your grill blazing hot with an indirect fire (looks like that is what you hand in the second pic), and get your grate very hot before adding the steaks. This should give good grill marks.

Great looking cook A Moe. You mentioned grill marks. I learned this somewhere down the road for steaks and it's really paid off:

Scrape both sides of the steak with a butter knife to remove bone dust from the butcher's saw before adding seasoning. Before I learned this I had poor grill marks and the meat would sometimes almost take on a greyish appearance. The difference in flavor was unbelievable.
In the lower left of this pic is what came off after scraping these ribeyes.

Just some FYI in case you have not tried it.
