Steak...looked better than it tasted

My wife's aunt gave us some steaks the other day. Part of a weekly thank you for letting her son stay with us this summer. Not to sound ungrateful, but I'm pretty picky about my steaks and these had no marbling and not much flavour.

But who am I to complain? Even a not-so-great steak is better than a kick in the head.

Served with grilled vidalias and sweet potatoes.

Duno what happened but we bought a bunch of steaks for this summer grilling season and the ribeyes looked great but taste and texture was lacking ! The T bones NY strips and porterhouse steaks were and have been fantastic .

I bought them from a small butcher and he replaced them so it was no big deal .

Yours look fantastic ! But I know what you mean ! Atleast yours were free a gift

AND you got to cook them on a Green Performer - which in and of itself is way cool! You're right - a free steak is a free steak and even if its worth exactly what you paid for it, its better than a kick in the head!
