I have expressed an interest in attending one of the bar b que contests just to see what this is all about, see various equipment and enjoy a family outing. I was wanting to participate in one that might also have small mom/pop type participants since they would be cooking from less elaborate smokers, but this may not be the one. Anyway, anyone gone to this one?

The 2008 Lakeland Pig Fest is now a 2-day event!!! Pig Fest will be open to the public on Friday January 25th at 5:00 pm! Teams will be vending to the public with entertainment on the main stage. We are raffling an awesome grill!! Tickets are 1 for $5.00 or 5 for $20.00.
At 6:00 pm, The Robby Cox Show will be performing until 7:30pm. Headlining at 8:00 pm is Firefall performing on stage. The concerts are free! We also have a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament in Hangar II. The tournament starts at 6:30 pm with Poker for Dummies at 6:00 pm . We will also be featuring the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill! It’s 65’ long!! Please see event schedule for the 2-day event.
