Now that MLB teams have released their 2016 schedules my wife and I have decided to visit St. Louis and Busch Stadium in September to hopefully watch the Brewers clinch the NL Central pennant.
When we do baseball road trips we prefer to stay within walking distance of the ballpark whenever possible, and I see that there are a few hotels within several blocks of Busch and the Arch.
Previously I've heard that the surrounding the area isn't the greatest, so is there anything I need to know before picking a hotel? The Drury Plaza on 4th St. between Walnut and Market is price-friendly and we've had good luck with Drury hotels in the past, so it's my first choice. The Westin's $500/night rates are just a bit too much for me.
