SS Genesis II Lid verification

Thanks everyone. The handle and the temp gauge bezel were my concern also.

Do you know what the rest of the story is? Why is he just selling the lid? Is it close enough to go look at, maybe he still has the grill it fits on.

Here's a picture of one of the s330s I rehabbed. That'd be my best guess if it's not the summit from the same era.

Ooooh so he may be putting up the wrong picture. Maybe the box says Genesis ii and maybe that's what he actually has

Well I don't think he could have confused Genesis with Summit. It does look exactly like the lid Josh just posted so he probably just confused Genesis models. The seller could supply you with a part # which would settle it for sure one way or the other.

Honestly though, all this talk about this lid has turned me off to it.

New in box lids are great for the right money. Especially on the newer models that have the lid liners, and the bezels by the handle and thermometer that the plating starts to peel off of.

As far as I can tell judging by the temp gage bezel its a Genesis 300 series before Genesis ii or a summit from same era. It's not a Genesis ii.

That was my guess, but I am not real familiar with the versions after that to know for sure.

Most likely they will come down in price. There's one in my area new SS for a Genesis ii 400 series for $30.

I almost picked it up for the 4 burner I flipped but decided not to put money into it.

I also had the opportunity to swamp lids for my Genesis ii LX 2-Burner and 3- burner from black to SS. For my personal grills I have come to like the black better and it's easier to take care of. So I left the SS on my flips. Plus the SS sells better on flips

When I looked up the cook box for my grill the cook boxes
were the same as the cook boxes that were on the SS Lid which I backtracked.
Only confusion was that each model number showed 2 cook boxes.

Is that maybe because there's a cook box for a three burner and a cook box for a three burner plus sear burner? An extra hole in the cook box for the sear burner? I'm not sure if sear burner was an option on the 310 though. Probably not
