Spray valve for garden hose

Hi all,
Hey I can’t seem to find a decent spray valve for watering my garden plants.
Even the old brass cone style ones are letting me down because they now have plastic parts that leak and take too long to open and close.
I’m not against plastic by any means it’s just that I can’t find a good one that will finish out a season without breaking.
They all seem to break.
Are any of you happy with what you are using?

I've been using one of these for 3 years or so without a problem:

Looks like Ace also has a solid brass twist nozzle too.

I have one more or less like the one that Bob linked, it’s on the fourth year so, I am more or less as pleased as I can be.
You do need to clear the holes now and then though.

Just like everything else, they are made very cheap now and are dead by the end of season. Im basically buying new ones every year...

I did have good luck with the one Bob has.
It should work good for just the garden.

timothy that water cannon is one I will be buying also.
I need to be rather self sufficient where I’m at in the PNW.
I’m near 30 minutes from town.
I burn forest debris and have to have a water hose next to my burn pile at all times.

Danny you are right about the junk that is being sold now.
I don’t mind paying good money for a good product,
It’s just that weeding though the junk products can be a costly adventure.

Thanks guys.

I've had a few of these and they are still surviving after a few years, but this specific flavor is not available any more.

I also don't have any sub freezing temps for very long. maybe a few nights overnight at most.

Yea I mean even if I buy the 20 dollar ones from THD they are failing and leaking by the end of the year usually. I usually never buy the cheap ones cause those are dead in a month.

This is what ive been buying. 18 bucks.

I have a whole collection of pieces of crap. None of them work good.

Same ahahaaa I have a big box full. I dont know why I dont throw them out.

I will say that Gilmor warranty replaced one like this so thats also worth checking out. Honestly not sure on Melnors warranty. I should look into that as well.

This is the style that I have as well. Going on my 5th or 6th year, but not SunJoe brand. Very heavy duty and often times sits out over WI winter.
