Long time lurker here. Got many ideas and learned a lot from this website. Thanks for everyone who posted their stories and rebuilds. It gave me inspiration to pick my FIRST gas grill and tackle a restore. Here we go...
Pic from the free weber ad:

Tables were cracked and missing grates, flavorizor bars, burners were shot and cart was not aligned correctly.

Removed old carbon so i can build my own

Gave the logo some fresh paint

Cut some cedar wood to replaced the cracked table and handle

And finally done.
Thermometer - 9.79
Square plugs - 8.81
Pan Holder - 13
Tool Hooks - 10.50
Cast Iron Grates/Flavorizor bars - 26.58(amazon warehouse score!)
Paint - 17
Warming rack - 25
Burners - 10(amazon warehouse)
Wood and stain/sealer - 12
Gas regulator - 17
Propane cover - 12
Total cost in parts and paint: $161.68
Cant see the green that well because I wax the porcelain and it captured the clear blue sky off the reflection

Much better.
