Spirit Silver A 500 restoration

Long time lurker here. Got many ideas and learned a lot from this website. Thanks for everyone who posted their stories and rebuilds. It gave me inspiration to pick my FIRST gas grill and tackle a restore. Here we go...

Tables were cracked and missing grates, flavorizor bars, burners were shot and cart was not aligned correctly.


Removed old carbon so i can build my own


Gave the logo some fresh paint


Cut some cedar wood to replaced the cracked table and handle




And finally done.

Cant see the green that well because I wax the porcelain and it captured the clear blue sky off the reflection

Looks fantastic. Wow you got that thing shined up! Nice job. I think it could look even better with a bottom shelf. Just looks like something is missing imho...

Looks Good Mike! And you have a whole lot better grill than any of those $200 tinfoil ones at HD.

Just need to do something with the bottom. Nothing down there makes it feel like it has no pants
