Hey everyone!
New WSM arrived Wednesday, in the pouring rain. But the sun is out today.
I am 4 hours into my first smoke. 9 lb pork butt over apple wood. Anybody from New England? I am in need of a good butcher. RI, MA, CT area.
Eat well friends.

Welcome KR. How did the butt turn out? I am in Texas and cannot not help ya with the Butcher question.
 
Welcome to the forum KR. Ex-Rhody resident here. Born and raised in Lincoln. Moved to Cali in 1980. There was a great family run place called Shea's meat market on the Lincoln-Cumberland line when I lived there. Old school butcher that knew his trade. You might want to see if it is still around.

It rained here too... about 8 months ago.:)

If you are near Woonsocket try Shaw's Meat Market, not related to the big chain, but a family owned Butcher shop with two locations in Woonsocket. They have always been my supplier for special meats for smoking.

Welcome from Souther California. And it has rained here in the last few weeks. Not much but some. Send some of your rain here. How did that cook go?
