Grates are ok. What’s the best process for cleaning the cooking grate?

I'm pretty sure that cooking grate is stainless steel. If it is, then I'd take an angle grinder with cup brush to clean it up really well.

Charcoal grate I do not think is SS. I'd just keep it oiled up when not in use. Not sure I'd even bother cleaning it besides hitting it with a regular grill brush.
