I went to my local Costco today and they had Rib Eye Cap Steaks again. HOORAY ..... I talked to the butcher and he said they were being brought back in small quantities because of popular demand.
Basically enough people complained about not having them in stock.

Same price I saw here earlier this week.
I've had 'em, love 'em, but just couldn't justify buying them again, they were $17.99/lb.

Maybe Costco did it for a reason, get us jonesing for them and then raise the price, it worked on me. Still less than $15.00 a steak, and probably $40.00 plus each in a restaurant.
I'v been to Costco many times in the last few months and people were looking for them and not happy when I told them they stopped making them.
I only eat steak about twice a month so that works for me.
