OK, every time I'm buying 2 lbs. of jalepeno's (I also ussually buy 1 or 2 habeneros also so the first one who's drank enough becomes brave enough to eat one) I run into someone looking at me like im nuts and they ussually say something like, "wow, what are you doing? making poppers or something?" I just say, "ya just makin some poppers" because I cant bring myself to call them Atomic Buffalo Turds right there to there face. Anyway 3 or 4 times now, the next thing they say is "my friend" or "i know a guy who..." or "man heres what you should do" and then describe the buffalo turd recipie to me to the "T"... including the smoker. If you'll notice today theres pushing 100 some "guests" online (on this forum right now, after clicking "The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board" scroll all the way to the bottom) right now. Chris we all need passwords and put this place on lockdown!! We got folks making turds all over the country!! ...GREAT!

Theres hardly anyone from my state on this forum! whats goin on here? lol. Then I seen that blond tipped, Guy Fiesta or whatever his name is (food network) makin some wannabe's! What are we gonna do,

if everyone's making them and getting them from this site, well then, that's a good thing. It tells me that people come to this site to get solid information on all sorts of recipes and grilling suggestions and such, and that is what this site is all about.
 
I always get my peppers at the local mexi-mart (Mexican grocery store, usually I'm the only whitey in there) so the looks are usually more for skin color than pepper selection! Me getting a bag of 30 jalapenos is no big thing around that place! But, they have the finest japs I've seen. I've brought the ABTs to several parties, always a HUGE hit, especially when cooked on site, which is really a must. They are a great Tah-Dah food, because they smell orgasmic and look so nice. For me, the more the merrier! ABT love is contagious, like an STD...only worth the pain!

LOL, Dan you are a piece of work from what I can tell from your posts, and I mean that in a <span class="ev_code_RED">good</span> way. You get right to the point and don't pull any punches. Keep on keeping it light. Too many here seem to be much too serious about all this.

I know I'm somewhat new, but what are Atomic Buffalo Turds. I love hot stuff but am realizing at pushing 50 I running short on the time I have left to enjoy stuff like this. I tried to look it up in the archives but nothing came up. Help an AARP member out!

Hey. Search ABTs. There basically smoked, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers...and there are many, many variants to the "stuffing". They were one of the first things I tried after finding this site. Easy and sooo good. Try them


Where in Richmond do you live? I'm in Stratford Hills.
 
Don, I'm down near Chesterfield CH. I tried ABT's in the search engine and nothing came up the first time. They do sound interesting.
 
thanks Dave, I get that at work too, (the funny "charactor" thing) I just figure whats better then laughing. Glad you see it that way (just for a laugh) cause thats how its intended. I'll cool it a bit. have a good one.

Rick, don't make abt's from habenaros, i figured that out the hard way on super bowl sunday. HOT, ...or im a sissy, one of the two. the Jalepenos are delicious though, low heat on them, (to me).

Dave, Not really a member yet. I had my 30th no problem and ditto for my 40th. My 48th I received in the mail an invitation to join. I haven't been right since. Don't know what the hell I did as far as the seach engine. Will recheck.
