Smoking Large Turkey - Help Please

I am smoking a turkey this year for an early Thanksgiving meal, this weekend actually. I bought a 24 lb. Butterball. The only choices where I was were 11.5 or 20 plus. I just decided to smoke a large one, but then I started worrying a bit. I've only smoked smaller ones, so this would be a first. Under the cooking section here, I think it showed 4 - 5 hours for a bird over 20 lbs. I think I'd prefer to smoke on the top grate if I get it to fit, but if not then I'll put it on the bottom. I don't have anything to stand the turkey up vertically, so is laying down breast side up OK? Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Steve

I've done 20+ pounders on the WSM for a cpl yrs now. Simply follow the directions on the label/website. I like to brine, then dry it uncovered in the fridge, then cook it at 350*F. I let it cool on the counter uncovered or use my WSM "warming oven" so it doesn't wreck the crisp skin.

Here's one from 2012:
