I though all the smokey joe premium models had the side vents and then I saw one of these online - it's got a bottom vent. Anyone ever seen one of these before? From what I've read, the bottom vent is more desirable than the side vents, right?
I think the Silver design is much better for cooking. I also admire Jaime’s work around.
The premium design, with its self-contained ash, is just nice for when you need to pack up and leave before all the ash has completely cooled. Also safer if you have to use your SJ in a place where ashes present a risk of fire.
