Smokey Joe: How old ???

Any when this Smokey Joe with the offset wood handle was last made ??

Sometime between 1973 and 77 is my guess. The regular handled sj's with the fold-able legs were around to at least the early 80's

It may be older than 70's , I have one like it but handle was not in as good of condiditon. PM me if you want to sell it, please.

I picked it up today. Here's a shot after some cleanup. The Enamel is cracked and missing around each leg attachment. However, the holes all look pretty good. I plan to upgrade the hardware to stainless to prevent any further rust.

Try some fiber washers when you do the SS hardware. That should shield any missed enamel on the outside.

That beauty cleaned up real nice. That speckled finish puts it from the 1960's.
