Smoker made of metal trash can

Any of you see a smoker made from the old style metal trash can and lid? I saw one recently that was apparently made many years ago. the owner is very proud of it, saying it performs like many high dollar commercial smokers made of 55 gal drums. I don't know much about it, but it looks very cost effective and the owner says it works great. Not sure how it is that much different than a simple brinkman, which i own, rec'd as a gift, and it is no good.

I had a link to a site that showed you how to make a smoker out of a trashcan. The problem was the can was galvanized. It has to have a low temp cook. At high heat the can will give off dangerous fumes.
