Smoke wood with leg of lamb?


 
Hey everyone need some help. Ive done a leg of lamb on a gasser before but want to do it on either a WSM or a Kettle. What kind of smoke wood have you guys/gals used before? Thanks!

My personal favorite is grapevine. Next to that citrus (I have lots of that). When I do lamb around the country and have neither wood with me I seek out apple.
 
Hi Tim,

I do my legs on the kettle with hickory and some times a little apple too. When I have it I soak some dry rosemary branches and add that when I put the meat on. Leg of lamb is on sale everywhere this time of year. Perfect time to pick up a couple.
