Smoke with saucer question

I'm 7 hours into a pork butt cook using a clay saucer for the first time, and I'm starting to think of questions.

Is the temp of the lower grate still lower when using a saucer? Should I rotate the butts top to bottom?
 
What temp are you running at wherever you're measuring ? If you're on the low-side 225-250 then I wouldn't. If you're on the high-side 275-300+ then it will run quite hotter.

I'm going pretty low, around 230ish. I checked them when I flipped them, and they were too close for me to care. Thanks for the reply!
