Smoke with Pear Wood ?

Can't find cherry or apple wood for sale by me...but found some Pear for sale as firewood.

I never see it mentioned here or in BBQ books, so thoughts about smoking with Pear ?

at hunt camp we usually use oak, but last year a beaver cut down our pear tree that was in our camp yard. About 8 in in diameter. I've been using this year & it works fine, cant tell the diff between it & apple.
