I'm approaching the first anniversary of my first smoke and thought I'd share something I found useful that fateful day that changed my life. Before I found TVWBB I did my very first smoke, 2 Boston Butts, on an ECB and I found this 16 minute video which I followed pretty closely. He uses bamboo skewers to hold the butts standing up. After I skewered mine I pulled them apart about 1 inch and everything had good bark.
