Size is not important........

Another late night online purchase arrived yesterday, had trouble remembering what it was lol! Looks like I splurged on
a portable Weber 22 inch griddle. To be fair, Home Depot were almost giving them away so criminal not to hit the buy
button.

In the ordering process I neglected to remember what 22 inches was, this thing is huge and not what i would call a portable
grill. Its fair to say Weber describe it as tabletop and not portable but as always with rash late night buys, whose reading the
small print?

Its definitely going to be staying on the truck, its not only huge its heavy. Looks quality but came with dent in lid! to be continued...

i have submitted a claim, i think a lid swap will solve but will see what they come back with.
Dent update!!! Weber already confirmed that replacement lid is approved and ready to ship! Its outrageous that took them clowns 59 minutes to confirm after my first email earlier, 30 years ago they would have delivered it by now and installed it! good customer service my ***!! And, its east to west burners, im surprised they even knew that #muppets :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I was looking at those…
Can u take a pic of additional details like burner arrangement and grease management?

Reviews were complaining about hot spot on lower right corner

Looks like you NEED a Silver A or B donor cart to put that on to me..... it would be nice to have a tank hanger and gauge.
I haven't looked into them --- but that looks like a solid tool there.
Looking forward to hearing how it works.

Details on pricing out of curiosity??? I'm still waffling if I should get a half griddle for my Q2200.....
Now I'm really intrigued about the Napoleon 'Q' that is the size of the 2200 with two burners that comes with a half griddle..... Weberitis going sideways..

$229 plus tax, $252.47 all in plus a spare lid

I have been eyeing these up as well.....the price is much greater in my area of course but they have a limited time $50 off right now...on both the 22 and the 17 inch sizes.
I believe both run off of the the disposable size propane tanks but I believe you can get an adapter ( I almost need propane for dummies so I dont have a clue on the adapter ) and run the 20 pounder on that if your setup is a bit less travel.
I would like one for camping and the ability to level the feet is a deal maker for me I think.
They are not a cheap option like my Jumbo Joe for travel of course.
I think the 17 inch model would be adequate for 2 people to have breakfast and things like smash burgers....
It is only a 1 burner apparently so having zones and stuff is not a thing with the smallest size.......:cautious::unsure:

Adapter

I would check out sizing at the store, if its portable you need 17in is likely best.

You can find an aftermarket one a heck of a lot cheaper.
I use one on my Q and table top griddle ( Sams club ) 22"

An interesting choice of burner design.... You would have thought they would have used parts off the Q line -but they 'appear' to be a smaller diameter tube (?). It looks like you can get some good heat zones set with that setup knowing how the burner layout is.

Looking forward to cooking reviews.... you know.... all 'Horseman like'..... biscuit/toast test and all.

I’m going to drop by the local Ace to get a feel for sizing…

Currently have the “slate” full size insert for my Vieluxe- usable space is about 23x14 so just about same as this griddle. I tried a cast iron insert that replaced one grate, but that did not reach temps needed for smash burgers. Seems like for any insert, you need to remove flavorizers to maximize heat and also worry about where grease will drip.

Might be nice to have a stand alone griddle that I can set on a cart and will work properly out of the box. I’m not too concerned about having rust resistant slate steel since I can stow away in off season.

I also received two panels of Grill Grates with my pellet grill - maybe I will try those in the gasser before making a decision…
