Sirloin Tip Roast on Smoker?

Using the search function for 'sirloin tip roast' I see a few threads about the meat, but didn't really see a consensus opinion. Is this a cut one can do on their WSM with any success? I'm guessing that because it's a lean cut, that's what might be making it not suited for being smoked...?

For what it's worth I'm thinking the cuts I'll be getting soon will be in the 2.5 to 3 pound range.
 
I would rather cook indiret on the grill to 110-115 then sear at the end on each side for a coulple minutes to a temp of 135ish. If you want you could smoke to your finished temp, me I would smoke to 130-140 max! It will be good either way.
