Thread 'Problem with Direct Messages'

Yesterday I made a change to the Direct Message feature that appears to have locked some of you out of this feature. I will attempt to undo the change to fix the problem.

I was trying to make it so that new members must have 5 posts under their belt before they can Direct Message other members--sort of a speed bump that discourages people from joining just to DM members (as happened with the spam message sent to member John Angelini a few days ago).

Sorry, to be honest I never even knew that "Announcements" category existed.
I just always jump straight into Gas Grills!

Filled with Grill Cleaner solution overnight and used a pipe brush to clean out. Fixed. Thanks everyone!

PS - Is Direct Messaging currently disabled on this website?

Glad to see you got that figured out. I never would have thought that would be the issue... folks around here really have seen it all!
